Sukhbir & Manpreet attend Jain Samaj congregation
Deputy chief minister and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal and his estranged cousin and former state finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal, were together at a religious congregation here held by the eleventh Acharya of Terapanth Dharma Sangha - Acharya Shri Mahashraman.

Taking out time from their election campaigns, both Sukhbir and Manpreet reached the Old Grain Market here to attend the religious congregation of the Jain Samaj on Mahavir Jayanti.
Former Congress MLA and now SAD cadre Mangat Rai Bansal, who had arranged the stay of the Acharya, thanked both Sukhbir and Manpreet for attending the congregation.
Both Sukhbir and Manpreet had arrived by merely a difference of half an hour.
Entering from the door behind the stage, Sukhbir reached the congregation venue at 10:55 am, whereas at 11:15 am Manpreet Badal entered from the door meant for the public. However, Manpreet opted to sit just behind Sukhbir on the floor.
Just after his arrival, Manpreet bowed before the Acharya following which the Acharya raised his hand in blessing.
A sort of murmuring started immediately among the gathering. Sukhbir left the venue at 11:40 am while Manpreet left at 11:45 am.
Sukhbir was here and campaigned for his wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal, SAD candidate in Bathinda, in villages including Khiala Kalan, Burj Dhalewan, Bhai Desa, Kotli Kalan, and Kalhon of the district.
Congress-PPP candidate Manpreet too was scheduled to campaign here in villages of Mansa.
