Three errant police officers suspended

The commissioner of police on Wednesday suspended three cops of Dugri police station including the SHO Gurdev Singh for not pursuing a case properly. The other two who were suspended are assistant sub-inspector (asi) Ravi Shankar and head constable Manjit Singh.

The commissioner of police on Wednesday suspended three cops of Dugri police station including the SHO Gurdev Singh for not pursuing a case properly. The other two who were suspended are assistant sub-inspector (asi) Ravi Shankar and head constable Manjit Singh.

Deputy commissioner of police (dcp) Narinder Bhargav confirmed the development. The trio were suspended following the recommendation of assistant commissioner of police (acp, Atam Park) Harinder Singh.

According to sources the SHO and his sub-ordinates did not pursue a case in Punjab and Haryana high court properly and did not appear before the court.

The ACP  wrote to the commissioner of police to take action against the errant cops when he came to know about this incident. No new officer has been deputed at the police station as SHO.
