Three foreign LPU students arrested for eve-teasing
The city police have arrested three foreign students at the Lovely Professional University on the charges of eve-teasing.
Sources said that Auguest Bellos, a student of first year of D-Pharmacy, Pacifique Harermaua, a second year B-Tech student, and Jisa Muamwa, a first year BBA student, passed vulgar comments on a 35-year-old local resident who was on foot. The woman called 100 for help.
Additional deputy commissioner of police Naresh Dogra said: "The accused are residents of Uganda and are living as paying guests at the local Professor Colony, near Ladhewali village. A PCR squad was at the spot within minutes of the spot and nabbed the three accused."
A case under Section 354 (assault or using criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) has been registered against all the accused at the Rama Mandi police station.
