Anmoldeep Singh (317)
Anmoldeep Singh (25) brought laurels to the district by securing 317th rank in the civil services examination. He had also topped the Punjab Civil Services examination this year. Anmoldeep, son of a lawyer, was also the topper in the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) conducted by the state in 2007.
He later joined the Government Medical college Patiala from where he finished his MBBS. “Though I have performed reasonably well in my studies in the past, qualifying the civil services came as a pleasant surprise,” said Anmoldeep who aims to join the executive service in future.
His elder sister and brother-in-law are working in the Mansa civil hospital as senior doctors. “While I was pursuing my MBBS I developed an orientation towards executive service and decided to give a shot to it.” Excited over the success of his son, advocate Gurdeep Singh, father of Anmoldeep, said, “He has scored very good ranks in all the competitive examinations. But this one is beyond our expectation.”

He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, while he did his schooling from Budhlada. “After pursuing his graduation he received coaching from New Delhi.
