Tiger Singh is new presidentof Rehri-Pheri Federation

A convention of the members of Rehri Phari Federation of Ludhiana was organised to discuss their issues at Circuit House Ludhiana on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Tiger Singh was elected as new president of the federation during the elections held on Thursday.

Zonal commissioner Kamlesh Bansal along with other MC officials participated in the meeting and informed about the policy for vendors in the city.

The members of the federation have again demanded from the MC to form town-vending committee to identify the areas to set up vending zones that they claim would help solve roadside encroachments issue.

With setting up of these zones, vendors would able to sell their articles at these special vending zones without any inconvenience.

Tiger Singh said that the MC should create awareness about the vending zones among the roadside vendors.

“We are struggling for the past few years to get these vending zones where the vendors will be able to sell their article without any hassle,” he said.
