Travel agent booked for cheating in Mehatpur
The Mehatpur police have booked a travel agent for cheating and breach of trust. SHO Manjit Singh said that Sukhwinder Kaur of Loheke village in Ferozepur district complained to Jalandhar (rural) SSP that she gave Rs 1.5 lakh to Yadwinder Singh Lohgarh village for facilitating his son's emigration.

The Mehatpur police have booked a travel agent for cheating and breach of trust. SHO Manjit Singh said that Sukhwinder Kaur of Loheke village in Ferozepur district complained to Jalandhar (rural) SSP that she gave Rs 1.5 lakh to Yadwinder Singh Lohgarh village for facilitating his son's emigration.
But her son was neither sent abroad nor was her money returned. SHO said a case under sections 406 (breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
