Both were injured in the clash. Malkait told cops he had supported Fatehjang Singh Bajwa in the recently held assembly elections. He alleged that Rajkawal Singh had unsuccessfully tried to force him to vote for the Akali candidate. “He was nursing a grudge against me and on Wednesday night he barged into my house along with his supporters and attacked me,” he said.

In his cross-complaint, Rajkawal claimed after the Congress emerged victorious, Malkait and his supporters were threatening him. “On Wednesday evening, Malkait Singh and his supporters attacked me,” he said. Police have booked 13 persons belonging to both the groups.
