In a statement issued here on Monday, Chawla said that the incident raises several questions about our security set-up. In this context she pointed to reports that the terrorists responsible for the attack may have come across from Pakistan and said, " If this is the case then security along our borders needs to be beefed-up".

She further said that clearly the Punjab Police was taken by surprise and this attack is an eye opener for all. The cops here should never lower their guard and should also make efforts to step-up their information gathering network, she added.

She also for taking strict action against the supporters of terrorists, saying, " They all needed to be put behind the bars".
