Vij suspends dentist, pharmacist for absence

Haryana health minister Anil Vij ordered suspension of a doctor and a pharmacist for their absence during the duty hours at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, Kurukshetra, on Friday.

Haryana health minister Anil Vij ordered suspension of a doctor and a pharmacist for their absence during the duty hours at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, Kurukshetra, on Friday.

During his surprise visit to the district hospital, Vij found dentist Karuna Dhingra and pharmacist Salvi missing from the hospital during the duty hours.

He also directed to serve a show-cause notice on medical superintendent Mukesh Kumar for littered hospital premises and other irregularities.

Vij took a round of various wards and expressed annoyance over unhygienic conditions. He also took a strong note of doctors not wearing prescribed uniform and warned the erring staff of strict action.
