A woman was allegedly raped by her brother-in-law at Kannian village in Moga district, police said on Saturday.

A woman was allegedly raped by her brother-in-law at Kannian village in Moga district, police said on Saturday.

The woman in her police complaint alleged that Amandeep Singh of Dhindsa village in Firozepur district came to her house while she was alone and forcible raped her on Friday, the police said.

Before leaving Amandeep threatened her if she lodges a complaint about the incident, he will kill her, the woman, a health worker alleged in her complaint.

The police has registered a case of rape against the accused who is absconding.
