Woman, five others booked for assaulting father-in-law
A 58-year-old man has filed a case against his daughter-in-law and five others for trespassing into his house and assaulting him on Sunday.

In his complaint, Avtar Singh of New Subhash Nagar of Basti Jodhewal, said relations of his son, Nirmal Singh and his wife, Sarabjit Kaur, were strained, and Sarabjit had started living with her parents at New Shastri Nagar.
He said while he was alone at home, Sarabjit, Gurmukh Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Baljit Kaur and Kala, trespassed into his house and assaulted him. When he raised an alarm, the accused fled the scene.
A case under sections 148, 149, 323, 451 and 506 of the IPC has been registered. ASI Gurmeet Singh of Basti Jodhewal police station said the police were trying to arrest the accused.
