Women's day observed across city

Students and staff members of Government Mohindra College, Patiala, observed the International Women's Day on Sunday on the college campus. College principal Sukhbir Singh Thind was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on the equality of men and women in society.

He said that for the betterment of society, it is important to ensure equality between men and women so that they can contribute towards society. Professor Malkeet Kaur said that girls are now leading in every field in society, but somehow society is not ready to give equal rights to women. She said the contribution of women towards society is appreciable.
