Women thrash lab technician for misbehaviour at civil hospital

There was chaos at the Pathankot civil hospital for almost two hours when a group of women chased and thrashed a laboratory technician for allegedly misbehaving with a female patient when she demanded a report from him.

There was chaos at the Pathankot civil hospital for almost two hours when a group of women chased and thrashed a laboratory technician for allegedly misbehaving with a female patient when she demanded a report from him.

Immediately after the incident, the patient called up her near and dear ones, who rushed to the hospital and confronted the technician. The technician ran into the room of a pathologist, but the angry women stormed into the room and vandalised it. The technician then locked himself up in the toilet and came out after doctors had pacified the angry women.

Later, in the presence of senior doctors, the matter was resolved. The patient claimed that she had given her blood samples to the technician and when she went to ask him for the report, he spoke rudely to her and asked her to come after sometime. She alleged that the man also tried to slap him.

The technician, however, denied the allegations. She said the woman had exaggerated things and created ruckus in the hospital, joined by her near and dear ones.

Shiv Sena activists also protested against the alleged incident.
