Vijay Gautam, district president of the union, while addressing a meeting said the state government's attitude towards their long-pending demand for regularisation of jobs in the aided schools forced them to take the decision of not casting their vote.

The staff members demanded that the government should regularise them as per the directions of the Punjab and Haryana high court.
