Youth held for trespassing, molesting 15-year-old in ludhiana

The Salem Tabri police arrested a 19-year-old for molesting a 15-year-old girl after trespassing her house on Saturday. The accused used to stalk the girl and tease her.

The police have registered a case under Section 452 (trespassing) and 354 (molestation) of the India Penal Code (IPC) against the accused, who has been identified as Gurpreet Singh, an Ashok Nagar resident.

In his complaint, victim's father, who is a resident of Mohalla Navneet Nagar, said, "My daughter is a student of Class 10. The accused used to follow her and tease her. The accused trespassed our the house and molested her," on Saturday. His daughter raised an alarm, following which the accused fled from the spot.

SHO at the Salem Tabri police station Inspector Maninder Bedi said the police had arrested the accused immediately and had produced the accused before the court on Sunday. The court sent him to jail on judicial remand.
