4 JVM MLAs meet Amit Shah, trigger specualtions of new equations

Four MLAs of the Babulal Marandi-led Jharkhand Vikas Morcha met BJP chief Amit Shah on Wednesday, triggering speculations that they might be joining the saffron outfit soon.

Four MLAs of the Babulal Marandi-led Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) met BJP chief Amit Shah on Wednesday, triggering speculations that they might be joining the saffron outfit soon.

The JVM has 11 MLAs in the present assembly having an effective strength of 78 members (four seats are lying vacant).

The JVM was reportedly mulling over dropping these MLAs in the forthcoming assembly election, a move that may have prompted them to explore option within the BJP.

Political instability in the state - it has seen nine CMs in last 14 year - is a big issue in the tribal state. The BJP has coined 'Mission 42+' slogan, seeking a clear majority on its own.
