Jharkhand: 5 charred to death as bus catches fire

Five people, including one women and a child, were burnt to death after a passenger bus caught fire on Sunday under Bishrampur police station area in Jharkhand’s Palamu district, around 160 km north of Ranchi.

Five people, including one women and a child, were burnt to death after a passenger bus caught fire on Sunday under Bishrampur police station area in Jharkhand’s Palamu district, around 160 km north of Ranchi.

Police said that the bus was on way Aurangabad in Bihar from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh and caught fire after a high voltage electricity wire fell on it. Around 50 people managed to escape the burning bus.

The five ill fated people were electrocuted before the bus could come to halt.
