British model-turned-actor Amy Jackson recently made her Bollywood debut with Ekk Deewana Tha (EDT), however, the Prateik-starrer simply failed to take off at the box-office. This year, Amy’s career, which took off with Tamil film Madrasapattinam (2010), is set to come full circle, with the actor’s kitty full with two south films.
Besides the Tamil action flick, Thaandavam and Telugu film, Yevadu, Amy will also be seen in a Bollywood film. “Yes, I have signed up three movies this year. The first one is a Telugu film, where I will work with Ram Charan Teja. Then there is a Tamil film with Vikram. I have also finalised a Bollywood film, which will start by the year-end,” she confirms, without divulging more.
Amy, for the uninitiated, won the UK’s Miss Teen World competition in 2008 and went on to win Miss Liverpool in 2009. Of late, rumours have been rife that she is dating her EDT co-star Prateik, who apparetly has also moved into her apartment in Bandra.
Amy laughs off the hearsay, saying, “There’s no truth to it. Prateik isn’t living with me. I don’t think we could cope with each other since I am too messy. Prateik hangs out at my house and we chill out at our friends’ houses since we have a few mutual pals.”
Clarifying further, she says, “During EDT’s promotions, we used my home as a base because we were constantly moving in and out of Bandra. That’s why we were probably seen going in or leaving together.”
