If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, director of path breaking Telugu film Arjun Reddy, may join hands with superstar Mahesh Babu later this year. According to reliable sources, Sandeep has pitched a story idea which Mahesh really liked, but he’s asked him to develop it into full script and come back before he could give his nod.
Busy wrapping up Bharat Ane Nenu, in which he plays a Chief Minister, Mahesh is expected to commence work on his next outing with Vamsi Paidipally from April and it’s expected to be wrapped up by September. Sandeep’s project, even if it materialises, will only go on the floors from October or November. However, Mahesh has also committed to a project with director Trivikram and his film is most likely to follow Vamsi’s project.
It has to be seen if Mahesh will work with Sandeep first and then move on Trivikram’s film. Sandeep, on the other hand, has the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy with Shahid Kapoor, who according to our sources has said yes to the film. Irrespective of when the project might happen, it’ll be really interesting to see Mahesh and Sandeep Vanga coming together for a project.
