ChennaiEe Nagaraniki Emaindi is Tharun Bhascker ‘s second film as a director after his successful debut, Pellichoopulu. Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi has him narrating the story of four best friends who are trying to make a film together. Vivek aka Psycho, Kaushik aka Version two, Uppu aka Thick Shake and Karthik from Jubilee Hills are under pressure from their parents to do something worthwhile with their lives. They decide to make a short film and travel to the Goa film festival. After meeting an intriguing girl (Anisha Ambrose), the project begins in right earnest. Kaushik, the aspiring actor, is cast in the film while Uppu -- a sought after wedding photographer who specializes in airbrushing pimples -- is designated the cinematographer. The third friend, Vivek, has only one agenda -- he doesn’t want the film to be about love, which according to him will be showcasing a fake emotion. He is the modern-day Devadas. <iframe width=”100%” height=”480” src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/wERgpPK44w0” frameborder=”0” allow=”autoplay; encrypted-media” allowfullscreen></iframe>The man who is introducing his friends to this girl is Karthik, who is ready to move to the US with a great job and is now set to propose. The girl is the true catalyst of the film and she transforms the lives of the friends. She begins by teaching them how to play truth or dare. Then she asks them about the craziest thing that they have done as friends and then we see some trippy visuals, including one of the them diving into a huge bottle. This film within a film is all about the bond that these four friends share and how it takes shape in the face of a conflict. They will probably make a film about the craziest thing that they have done too.
