We had already reported that filmmaker Gautham Menon is planning to make a multi-starrer with four leading stars from southern industries. The project was supposed to take off this year but as is the case with most of his films, it was delayed for various reasons. Reportedly, the film is about the lives of four friends who meet at a wedding after many years and decide to take a fun trip. Tipped to be made in four languages, Gautham had confirmed earlier confirmed that Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia have been signed, and that this project will be a Dil Chahta Hai meets Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara kind of film. While Gautham plans to produce in Tamil and Malayalam versions of the film, he’s on the lookout for a producer who can bankroll the project in Telugu and Kannada.

The latest update from Gautham’s camp is that the project will finally take off next year. Malayalam actor Prithviraj is also part of the cast and he had said earlier this year in an interview to The New Indian Express that he has already been paid advance. “This project requires primary stars from all the four southern industries. Hence, it’s taking time to materialize. I’ve already been paid and I’m on board,” he had said.

The other two actors are rumoured to be Simbu and Sai Dharam Tej, who are yet to officially sign the dotted line and come on board. Currently busy wrapping up spy thriller Dhruva Natchathiram, which features Vikram in the lead, it is rumoured that Gautham is hell bent on getting this project made next year.
