Sai says, “It feels really nice when something you are a part of gets appreciated right at the start. It is a happy phase for all of us. A lot of time has passed since we shot for the film, and it has been quite a journey for all of us. I hope the film reaches out to as many as people as possible. It is very important that people get to know this story.”

The Vazandar (2016) actor shares that her character in this film is something she has never attempted or done before. “I am hungry for intriguing roles. The audience can never figure out Anjali’s character. You don’t get to know whether she is a nice person or a mean person,” she says. Sai adds that as an actor, it was fun portraying this character, as this girl has no inhibitions, and doesn’t care how she is dressed or looks. “I like to play such characters where it is all about the craft and not about appearance. Having said that, mentally it was disturbing to play this character. It is really overwhelming to see the levels to which a human being can stoop down to.”

The actor shares screen space with established Bollywood actors in the film. “It was pleasant to see how everyone worked for a common output. It wasn’t for individual points. It was a great to work with such energies. It was a great exchange of different worlds,” she says.

On working with Anupam Kher, Sai adds, “I told him that it takes me two days to get into a character. To which he said, ‘since when are you working? It should just take you 30 seconds and nothing more’. This advice will stay with me forever.”
