Q’s next film to premiere in Rome

Director Kaushik Mukherjee’s Bengali film Tasher Desh (House of Cards), which is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s dance drama, will have its world premiere at the 7th Rome International Film Festival (RIFF) next week.

"The most important thing about such an international film festival is the line-up of films against which mine will compete. It is an honour to compete against directors like Elisabetta Sgarbi and Thomas Heise," says Mukherjee, who goes by the moniker Q.



Slated for release in India next year, the film has Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap as co-producer.
