Riya, Rituparno leave local family starstruck
One rarely hears of celebs mingling with average Joes. But that’s exactly what Riya Sen did while shooting for Rituparno Ghosh’s Nouka Dubi, which marks her Bengali film debut and is based on a Rabindranath Tagore story.Updated: May 08, 2011 15:13 IST
Riya was driving to a set on the outskirts of Kolkata, and decided to halt and freshen up. She spotted a house nearby and sent her spotboy to seek the family's permission which was happily granted.
After freshening up, Riya saw the family eating their breakfast that included her favourite, Luchi and Alu. The sight of food got the actor's mouth watering and she asked them if she could have some. Again, the family obliged.
Five minutes later, the family had another reason to be thrilled when National award-winning director, Rituparno Ghosh came walking in.
The director too feasted on the food with Sen at the Bengali famil’s residence. After having their fill, the family members even packed some for them to take along.
