Taapsee Pannu goes the 'cop' way for Selvaraghavan's Kaan

Her Tamil horror-comedy Kanchana 2 was a huge hit in Tamil Nadu and actor Taapsee Pannu is on a roll. Now, the actor is all set to don khaki for the second time in her career, after Baby. It will be for her upcoming Tamil action-thriller Kaan.

Her Tamil horror-comedy Kanchana 2 was a huge hit in Tamil Nadu and actor is on a roll. Now, the actor is all set to don khaki for the second time in her career, after Baby. It will be for her upcoming Tamil action-thriller Kaan.

"I'm currently doing two Tamil films and they're diametrically opposite. One is a proper family drama where I play a girl who hails from Kumbakonam, and the other is an action thriller where I play a cop under mission," said Taapsee.

On May 2, also shared on her Twitter page that she plays a character called Tamizhchelvi in director Thiru's yet-untitled Tamil project featuring Jai. This story is predominantly set in Kumbakonam.





In filmmaker Selvaraghavan's Kaan, Taapsee is paired with Silambarasan aka Simbu. The film also features Catherine Tresa as one of the leads.

"The title Kaan means forest and its surrounding area. Important portions will be shot in a forest. Simbu is playing an ardent devotee of Lord Karthikeya in the movie," said a source from the film's unit.
