Visaaranai actor Samuthirakani’s Appa to be remade in Malayalam

Samuthirakani’s Tamil directorial Appa will be remade in Malayalam with Jayaram in the lead. Samuthirakani will direct this one too.

Actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani’s Tamil directorial Appa, which emerged as a sleeper hit when it released earlier this year, will be remade in Malayalam with Jayaram in the lead role, a source said.

“The remake will go on the floors later this year or early next year. Jayaram and Asha Sharrath will be teaming up to play the lead roles,” said the source close to Samuthirakani.
