More than eight in 10 Britons (84 per cent) judge on first impressions and one in 10 (nine per cent) refuses to change their mind once they have formed one, according to research by Experian CreditExpert.
Having a nice smile and clean hair has the best chance of making a good first impression, the report said.
The study also found that Brits consider bad breath as the thing most likely to make a bad impression.
“Whether it’s a date, a job interview, seeing the bank manager or meeting the in-laws, first impressions count,” the Daily Star quoted Experian Interactive boss Peter Turner as saying.
