'Being a single mother is hard'
Courtney love, the widow of rock music legend Kurt Cobain, says she is trying her best in bringing up daughter Frances Bean.
Courtney Love, the widow of rock music legend Kurt Cobain, says she is trying her best in bringing up daughter Frances Bean but being a single mother is hard.
Love, 43, allowed her daughter to go watch a movie with her friend without security guards, reports people.com.
She said: "I wanted to show her that she could go out in London without a nanny or bodyguard, so they went by themselves. I wanted to get her a cake because it is the first time she had gone anywhere on her own.
"I just want things to be good for her, but she's a lot like me and a lot like her dad. I think she got the best of both of us, so there's that."
In spite of the instability in her life, Love insists she has a strong bond with her daughter.
"We get along well most of the time but teenagers are hard. Being a single mother is hard," she said.
