Single this Valentine’s Day? Here’s how you can make the most of it
Restaurants and eateries across the Capital are offering deals and discounts for those who’d love to go out on Sunday to celebrate their singledom.
Guess what? You don’t need to bother being struck by the Cupid’s arrow on Valentine’s Day. Restaurants and eateries across the Capital are offering deals and discounts for those who’d love to go out on Sunday to celebrate their singledom.

For restaurateur Umang Tewari, while couples make up most of the crowd on V-day, catering to singles is also important.
“For many who come in single, it’s to celebrate being out of a relationship rather than being in one. There’s no need to be upset if one is without a partner,” he says.

Tewari’s outlet, 3 Pegs Down, in Saket, has on offer four cocktails for Rs 999 for singles, including Manhattans and mojitos.
Tamasha in Connaught Place is offering every single who walks in a drink on the house.

“Valentine’s Day is not to glorify romance but to celebrate love in general. So for singles, spending the day loving and treating themselves makes perfect sense,” says Ashish Chakraborty, director, House of Commons in CP, that is offering a 20% discount on the a la carte bill for singles.

Informal in Janpath is asking singles to wear slogan tees that express their singledom to win discounts.
While it’s all about celebrating singlehood, some of you who’d rather mingle on Valentine’s Day can cheer up too.
At Molecule, Gurgaon, cocktails go by the name of Talaash, Mere Jeewan Saathi and Mujhse Dosti Karoge while fast food joint Carl’s Jr is offering single females who download a matchmaking app at their outlet, a discount of 20%. Singles in the city have mixed feelings about celebrating.
“I’d rather be at home and celebrate on my couch with a glass of wine then step out to see cheesy couples,” says Shivam Bhatia, 24, while Anisha Malik, 22, is all for it. “Why not? I would love to go out for a few free drinks, whether it’s Valentine’s Day or not!”
