MUMBAI: Abhishek Kulkarni upset second seeded Nigel D’Sa with a 21-12, 21-18 win to make the men’s singles semifinals in the 2nd Maharashtra Senior State Selection Badminton Tournament 2016 at the Goregaon Sports Club on Friday.

Men’s: A Bose bt L Bangera 2-0; V Kuvale bt A Oak 2-0; A Kulkarni bt N D’Sa 2-0; Women’s: S Mundada bt M Saoji 2-0; R Devasthale bt M Dhainje 2-1; N Pandit bt R Pillai 2-0; M Ambekar bt N Hanchate 2-0.
