Bastianon’s pain is Bhambri’s gain in ITF event
Prerna Bhambri was focused throughout her match. Despite losing the first set 4-6 due to unforced errors, the 18-year-old came back strong in the second to win it 6-3.

Prerna Bhambri was focused throughout her match. Despite losing the first set 4-6 due to unforced errors, the 18-year-old came back strong in the second to win it 6-3.
However, due to a hamstring pull, Bhambri's opponent pulled out trailing 0-1 in the final set and thus the Delhi girl was through to the final of the $10,000 ITF Women's tournament at DLTA on Friday.
Top seed wins
Shlomo had a tough outing. After losing the first set 1-6 to local girl Ratnika Batra, the top seed won the second with the same scoreline in her favour. However, Batra could not keep up the momentum and lost the final set 3-6, handing the final berth to her opponent. Shlomo was ousted in the second round of the ITF tournament held last week.
