Five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams has pulled out of this year's tournament because of an ongoing lower back injury.

The 33-year-old who has won seven Grand Slam titles in all also pulled out of the doubles there with her sister Serena.
"I am extremely disappointed as I have always loved The Championships, but I need to take time to let my back heal," said Venus, who won the last of her Wimbledon singles titles back in 2008. She posted this on her Facebook account.
Indian challenge Leander Paes, who turned 40 on June 17, has been seeded fourth with partner Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic in the men's doubles competition.
Mahesh Bhupathi with Austrian partner Julian Knowle has been seeded eighth while Rohan Bopanna, with Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin, has been seeded 14th.
In the women's doubles category, Sania Mirza has been seeded sixth with American partner Liezel Huber.
