Jaidip Mukerjee and Leander Paes were honoured by AITA for their commitment to national duty under the ITF's inaugural Davis Cup Commitment Trophy.

While eight were chosen, only two were present. The other six are Ramanathan Krishnan and son Ramesh, brothers Vijay and Anand Amritraj, Mahesh Bhupathi and late Premjit Lall.

The award is part of the ITF's 2013 Centenary celebrations and players eligible must have competed in a minimum of 20-home-and-away ties or 50 ties at any level of the competition.

Meanwhile, the AITA executive committee will meet on Sunday.
