Paes-Meghann in Wimbledon mixed doubles quarters

Eighth seeded Leander Paes and Meghann Shaughnessy will play unseeded French pair Fabrice Santoro and Severine Bremond in the mixed doubles quarterfinals.

Eighth seeded Leander Paes of India and Meghann Shaughnessy of the US will play unseeded French pair Fabrice Santoro and Severine Bremond in the mixed doubles quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London on Saturday.

Earlier, in a third round match, Paes and Meghann defeated 12th seed Todd Perry of Australia and Chia-Jung Chuang of Chinese Taipei 7-5, 7-5 on Friday night.

Paes and Martin Damn of the Czech Republic had, however, lost in the men's doubles quarterfinals on Friday.

In the invitation men's doubles on Saturday, top seeded Indian pair Anand and Vijay Amritraj crashed out after losing 3-6, 3-6 to Australians Peter Mcnamara and Paul Mcnamee.
