The France international will miss training for the next five days to rest the injury.

Ribery, who limped off in Saturday's 1-1 draw at VfL Wolfsburg, has been diagnosed with a capsule ligament strain in his left knee, a club spokesman said.

Ribery had returned to the side in mid-November after sustaining a serious injury to his right ankle which sidelined him for a lengthy period in the autumn.
