Sania Mirza was ousted in the first round of the 2.5 million dollar Qatar Open WTA tournament in Doha on Wednesday after she retired hurt in match against Olga Govortsova.
Sania was trailing 2-3 in the third set when she decided to concede the match to the Belorussian Govortsova. Sania lost 4-6, 7-6 (7/5), 3-2.
She had opted out of the Bangalore Open recently to avoid being dragged into off-field controversies.
