Somdev Devvarman suffered a straight-set defeat against Marius Copil to bow out of the qualifying event of the Bank Austria Tennis Trophy in Vienna.

The second seed Indian lost 5-7 1-6 to his unseeded Romanian opponent in the second round of the euro 6,500,000 hard court event.

No other Indian is in the fray either in singles or doubles.
