John Terry is expected to travel with Chelsea to Goodison Park for Wednesday’s Premier League meeting with Everton despite suffering a dead leg in the 2-0 win over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Whether the Chelsea captain will be fit to play against David Moyes’ team, however, should become clearer over the next 24 hours, as the club’s medical team monitor his condition.

If Terry is forced out of the game, it may provide a convenient opportunity for the 29-year-old to miss the FA Cup fifth-round tie with Cardiff City on Saturday and instead fly to Dubai to see his wife, Toni Poole, and their children.
