The Seattle Seahawks signed running back Cam Akers to the 53-man roster on Wednesday, while safety Quandre Diggs returned to the organization after signing to the practice squad.
The Seahawks also added cornerback Shaquill Griffin and linebacker Patrick O'Connell to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. Cornerback Derion Kendrick was waived and linebacker Chazz Surratt was placed on injured reserve.

Diggs, 32, played five seasons with the Seahawks from 2019-23, recording 345 tackles and 18 interceptions over 72 games . In 11 NFL seasons, including five with the Detroit Lions and the past two with the Tennessee Titans, he has 652 tackles and 24 interceptions over 154 games .
Diggs was waived by the Titans on Nov. 7.
Griffin, 30, has seven tackles in two games during his return to the Seahawks this season. He played his first four NFL seasons in Seattle, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2019. In nine NFL seasons with five different teams, he has 414 tackles with nine interceptions in 108 games .
O'Connell, 26, has 16 tackles in nine games over the past three seasons with the Seahawks.
