Sixteen India under-14 footballers are likely to leave next month for a nine-month training stint in Florida in the United States.

The programme, according to All India Football Federation (AIFF) officials, is part of a joint venture between the Mukesh Ambani backed Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and the International Management Group (IMG).

Speaking from Malaysia, Alberto Colaco, the AIFF general secretary, refused to confirm or deny the development

An AIFF official, who did not want to be named, said the boys are scheduled to leave on August 28.
