Wozniacki hires Sanchez as new coach: Report

World tennis number one Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark has hired Spaniard Ricardo Sanchez as her new coach, Danish daily Ekstra Bladet reported today.

World tennis number one Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark has hired Spaniard Ricardo Sanchez as her new coach, Danish daily Ekstra Bladet reported on Friday.

Sanchez has until now coached former number one Jelena Jankovic of Serbia.

He will replace Piotr Wozniacki, Caroline's father whom she fired in August.

Sanchez "has many years of experience with other players ... and we know each other well," Caroline Wozniacki told Ekstra Bladet.

She will begin the tennis season at the Australian Open, to be played January 16 to 29.
