‘Twitter Down’ memefest as Twitter reported partial outage

As Twitter was reportedly unavailable for many users on Sunday evening, Twitter Down trended and memes flooded the social media platform. For a brief period, the site reportedly did not load for some users, and for others, it indicated that their accounts did not exist.

The outage was also reported by the downdetector website, which focuses on the top websites' service glitches.
According to downdetector, the desktop version was problematic for approximately 65% of users, while the Twitter app was problematic for 33%. The downdetector map also revealed that users in Indian cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Nagpur, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru were experiencing issues.
The memes included famous film and web series characters, with users attempting to relate the glitch to film scenes.
A user tweeted a photo of Hollywood actor Tony Stark, better known as 'Iron Man,' with the caption, "Me after realising that my account wasn't suspended but it was...#TwitterDown." In the image, Tony Stark is seen exhaling a sigh of relief.
Another user shared a screenshot of her account that said "does not exist" during the outage and said "Finally I exist," as well as the hashtag TwitterDown.
A user posted a screenshot from the Indian action-crime thriller web series 'Mirzapur,' in which Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is seen confused, with the caption, "Twitter watching us tweeting about twitter down on twitter."
Another user shared a video of a crowd trying to rush through an escalator, saying, "Twitter users running to Instagram to see if everyone else's Twitter is down."
The social media company did not issue a statement confirming the outage.
