Rohan Bopanna and his Romanian partner Florin Mergea were knocked out of the Monte Carlo Masters after suffering a straight-sets defeat in the quarter-final clash of the men’s doubles on Friday.

Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna and his Romanian partner Florin Mergea were knocked out of the Monte Carlo Masters after suffering a straight-sets defeat in the quarter-final clash of the men’s doubles on Friday.

The Indo-Romanian pair suffered a 2-6, 3-6 defeat at the hands of the Scottish- Brazilian pair of Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares.

Bopanna and Mergea were earlier condemned to a first-round exit from the Dubai Duty Free Championships and then at Indian Wells as well.
