Heavy downpour adds to Kerala’s Covid-19 woes

Red alert has been declared in three districts, Kozhikkode, Wayanad and Idukki, and orange alert in five other districts.

Kerala reports one more death, 53 new Covid-19 cases

A 53- year-old woman, a resident of Wayanad, who returned from Dubai last week died in the medical college hospital in Kozhikkode.

Kerala cyanide killings: Jolly Joseph slits her wrist in jail, condition stable

Jail officials said they got to know about the incident at 4.30 am when fellow inmates alerted them. She reportedly told officials that she cut her wrist with her tooth and sharp edge of the plate used to serve food to the inmates.

Nipah mystery deepens as lab report rules out bats as prime cause of infection

Officials had suspected the bats to be the primary source of infection and sent their samples to the laboratory in Bhopal, but it turned out to be negative.
