Malvinder Singh, his brother Shivinder, also a former Fortis Healthcare promoter; former CMD of Religare Enterprises Ltd (REL) Sunil Godhwani ; former CEO of REL Kavi Arora and former CFO of RFL Anil Saxena were arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police for allegedly diverting RFL’s money and investing in other companies.

A “systematic evergreening of loans” by Religare Finvest Ltd has been revealed. Religare Finvest is an arm of Religare Enterprises Ltd, promoted by the Singh brothers.

ED arrests Malvinder Singh, former Fortis promoter, in RFL money laundering case

The ED took both the businessmen in its custody at Tihar Jail, where they are lodged in a case filed by the Delhi Police in relation to the scam, according to a lawyer associated with the case.

Former Fortis promoter to withdraw NCLT petition against elder brother Malvinder Singh on ailing mother’s advice

Shivinder’s counsel Ranjana R Gawai said the petition is not withdrawn yet but getting withdrawn because the ailing mother wants to get this matter sorted out within domestic forum through mediation.
