RBI, in its Payment System Vision 2021 document, has said that it will make available the NEFT system on a 24x7 basis from December 2019 in order to promote digital transactions.

The country’s largest bank, which has about 25 per cent market share, has also decided to do away with the charges on fund transfer through mobile phones using the IMPS (immediate payment service) from August 1.

In a communication to banks, the RBI said the decision had been taken to provide an impetus to digital funds movement.

Paytm payments bank stops enrolling new users after RBI concerns
