Sterlite vice president D Dhanavel saw NGT’s decision as a moral victory for the company and said the company’s copper unit wasn’t responsible for the pollution in and around it.

Tamil Nadu rejects Sterlite’s plea to renew consent to operate plant

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board has rejected Sterlite’s application seeking renewal of consent to operate its existing plant. The consent to operate accorded previously by the Board ended on March 31, 2018.
