2kg heroin recovered from field at border in Punjab’s Amritsar

The seizure comes a day after 5kg of heroin dropped by a Pakistan drone was recovered from a border village of Daoke in Amritsar.

The consignment was found during harvesting of wheat, BSF spokesperson added.

Poonch attack: 30 people detained for questioning, hunt on for terrorists

Around 30 people have been detained for questioning in the search for terrorists who ambushed an Army truck in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch, killing five personnel. The Jammu-Poonch national highway has reopened for vehicular traffic, and the Army's Northern Commander has reviewed the security in the border area.

A BSF spokesperson said, “During the morning hours on Saturday, on specific information, the alert BSF troops launched a search operation in the outskirts of bordering village Daoke.”

Army kills one intruder, captures two along LoC in Poonch

“A search operation was launched at the first light on Sunday along the LoC in Poonch where the body of one intruder was recovered at the encounter site. As the search progressed in the jungle, one intruder was apprehended alive in wounded condition. In the search, the third intruder was apprehended,” Lt Col Devender Anand said.
