Twinkle Khanna was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is the daughter of veteran actors Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. She wanted to make a career as CA but later joined the film industry. She made her acting debut with Barsaat in 1995 and received Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance. She was part of many films like Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Zulmi and Baadshah. Her last movie was Love Ke Liya Kuch Bhi Karega before becoming an author. She made her debut as a writer with Mrs Funnybones in 2015. She is married to Akshay Kumar.
