Adorable dog Begbie ‘works’ as a ‘door supervisor’. He has a badge to prove it
“Fully licensed” wrote the dog’s human while sharing pictures of the pooch on Instagram.
The Internet is filled with videos that showcase dogs engaged in different kinds of activities. From dogs skateboarding to dancing, the list is long. Now there is a newest inclusion to that list and it is an adorable dog named Begbie ‘working’ as a bouncer at a pub. Not just that, he also has a badge to prove it.
The dog turned into an online celebrity when a video of him ‘forgetting’ to serve customers their drinks went viral on TikTok. He also has an Instagram page where his human shares all sorts of pictures and videos showcasing snippets from Begbie’s life.
Just like this post where Begbie is pictured proudly wearing his new ‘door supervisor’ badge. “Fully licensed and ready for the football,” reads the caption shared alongside the images.
The post prompted people to share all sorts of comments. “Woah! Super cool, I didn’t know dogs could get jobs! I want one. Can I be a kitchen helper? I can try all the food and make sure it’s tasty!!” read a comment shared from Instagram page of another pooch. “Incredible,” shared an Insta user. “The most important job,” expressed another.
“I got Begbie in early March 2020, when I’d already been working at my bar for a little while. He started coming in at eight weeks old. I used to keep him in a little bed behind the bar. Obviously then a lockdown happened, and he was away from the pub until we reopened,” his human Catherine told Metro.
“He’s such a social boy, he adores all the fuss. We have customers who come in just to see him. He’s got a huge pile of toys and loves to show them to everyone. If the first toy doesn’t get a customer to play, he’ll just keep bringing them out,” she added.
